Air Quality Notification – Opportunity to request a public comment period

Sept. 14, 2021 - Sept. 29, 2021, 11:59 p.m.

This is a public notice of an application to the air quality general order.

Interstate Concrete & Asphalt applied for coverage under Washington's air quality general order to operate a portable concrete batch plant in Franklin County. Interstate Concrete & Asphalt has agreed to meet the requirements of the general order, and Ecology plans to approve the application. We will hold a public comment period on a draft coverage order only if a written request is received by Sept. 29, 2021.

Background

An air quality general order is a group permit that simplifies the air permitting process. When several sources of air pollution are similar, we can issue a “general order” for all the sources, rather than a series of individual permits.
