This is a public notice of an air quality permit. Ecology will hold a public comment period if one is requested.
Eternal Paws operates a pet crematory at 206 A Street in Quincy. Eternal Paws submitted an air quality Notice of Construction application to operate a second crematory furnace. Allowable emissions will increase by around 4.5 tons per year of particulate matter and less than 100 pounds per year of toxic air pollutants (TAP). Estimated emissions of the TAP of greatest health concern (hexavalent chromium, Cr6) were evaluated using a screening dispersion model and determined to be below the Acceptable Source Impact Level in Chapter 173-460-150 WAC. Ecology plans to approve this application. We will hold a public comment period on a draft approval order only if a written request is received by April 22, 2021.

A notice of construction permit is required before installing a new source of air pollution or modifying an existing source of air pollution. This permit is sometimes called a "pre-construction permit" because a business must have one before starting construction or operating their business.
A notice of construction air permit limits the amount of air pollutants a business can emit.
