Air Quality Notice of Construction application – Opportunity to request a public comment period

Apr. 16, 2018 - May. 01, 2018

Lane Mountain Company (LMC) in Valley, WA requests approval to replace two existing scrubbers with a single new baghouse. The new baghouse will provide a greater control efficiency for particulate matter emissions and will allow for easier reclamation of the captured product. In addition, LMC will be installing a new hopper to allow for stored material to be more readily re-incorporated into the process. This new operation will allow LMC to more readily reduce the size of its storage piles. Emissions from the new hopper will be abated by the replacement baghouse.

Ecology plans to approve the application. We will hold a public comment period on a draft approval order ("air permit") that includes this change only if a written request is received by email, letter, or fax by May 1, 2018.

Review Lane Mountain Company's notice of construction application and additional materials.

Ecology issues notice of construction air permits to businesses to make sure Washington meets state and federal air quality requirements. A notice of construction air permit limits the amount of air pollutants a business can emit.
