We invite you to attend a hearing to submit oral comments on two draft air permits and an associated State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) determination for the Port Townsend Paper pulp and paper mill and box plant in Port Townsend.
Visit our webpage to learn more about the changes to these permits and how we regulate this facility.
This consolidates all of the state and federal air pollution control requirements that apply to a facility in one document and are renewed on a regular basis. It includes conditions from existing permits that allowed construction or expanding operations that increased air pollution (Notice of Construction (NOC) Orders and Prevention of Significant Determination (PSD) permits) and all other relevant state and federal air regulations.
This limits the ammount of air pollutants a business can emit. It is required are before installing a new source of air pollution or modifying an existing source, and revised when there’s a change to any of the conditions.
