The former Truck City Truck Stop is located at 3216 Old Highway 99 S, Mount Vernon, Washington. Truck City Truck Stop is now the new Skagit County Community Justice Center. The Site was developed in 1952 as a Standard Oil truck stop and fueling facility, and has operated as an independent entity since 1976. The former convenience store, restaurant, and truck wash were constructed in 1978.
Ecology has determined this site cleanup effort meets state cleanup standards for soil and ground water and are protective of human health and the environment. Therefore, Ecology is proposing to remove the site from the Hazardous Sites List.
