We invite the public to comment on the delisting of Glenns Diesel.
In 2001, contamination from diesel, cadmium, and lead were found in soil samples collected at the site. The property owners conducted a cleanup of the site under Ecology's Voluntary Cleanup Program.
The following cleanup activities were performed at the site:
- In 2014, 3.3 tons of contaminated soil was excavated from the site, and taken to a permitted facility.
- In 2018, an additional 290 tons of contaminated soil was excavated and taken off-site to a permitted facility.
Following excavation, 24 soil samples showed no contamination remaining above state standards in the excavation area. We believe all of the contaminated soil has been removed from the site.
