Winger Land Golden Homes

Delisting from the Hazardous Sites List

August 10, 2018 - September 10, 2018

Cleanup is complete at the Winger Land Golden Homes Site (Site). The Site is located at 19647 Viking Way NW, Poulsbo, Washington. The Department of Ecology is now proposing to remove the Site from the state’s Hazardous Sites List, a statewide record of contaminated properties. The Site underwent a Site Hazard Assessment and was ranked “3” on a scale of 5 where “1” represents the highest risk and “5” is the lowest risk.

This ranking estimates the potential threat to human health and the environment relative to other sites in Washington State. We invite your comments through September 10, 2018 on the proposed delisting. On the left are document review locations where you can find the No Further Action letter that describes how the Site was cleaned up and why Ecology has determined that the cleanup is complete.

A site may be removed from the Hazardous Sites List only if the site is cleaned up. In some cases, long-term monitoring and periodic reviews may be required to ensure the cleanup is adequate to protect the public and the environment. Ecology will hold a public notice for any site it proposes to remove from this list.
