The advisory group for the Cleanup Rule Update process conducts meetings about every two months.
The Stakeholder & Tribal Advisory Group (STAG) for the Cleanup Rule Update is made up of 20-25 representatives of key stakeholders and tribal interests who have practical experience with contaminated site cleanups in Washington state. The group will advise Ecology as we update the Cleanup Rule in a series of three planned rulemakings over several years.
STAG meetings are open to the public, with time set aside for public comments at each meeting. Observers are welcome and will be afforded an opportunity to speak during a public comment period near the end of each meeting. Other than the comment period, observers cannot participate in the deliberation of the group.
The May 28 meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. You may join the meeting starting at 8:45 a.m. to allow time to troubleshoot technical issues. Visit STAG meeting no. 5a for the most up-to-date meeting agenda.
There will be at least eight STAG meetings for the first rulemaking. From September 2019 to March 2020, meetings were held at the Embassy Suites in Bellevue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Starting May 2020, meetings will be held online.
