The Seattle Times site is at 1120 John Street in Seattle. The Seattle Times operated at this location from 1931–2011. Petroleum fuels (gasoline and diesel), inks, and cleaning solvents were used and released into the soil and shallow groundwater on the site.

In 2013, Onni John Street LLC (Onni) purchased the facility from Seattle Times. In Fall 2021, Ecology and Onni negotiated an Agreed Order that included conducting an Interim Action cleanup at the site. After a 30-day public comment period, we approved the Agreed Order.
