We invite you to attend an evening public workshop and hearing. At the workshop, we will explain the proposed changes in the draft permit and answer questions. A hearing will immediately follow the workshop. The hearing will provide the opportunity for formal oral testimony and comments on the draft permit, and will conclude when public testimony is complete. Oral testimony will receive the same consideration as written comments. Please see below for the the related morning public workshop and hearing on April 13, 2021 if it works better for your schedule.

You may need this permit if your facility discharges stormwater runoff from areas with industrial activity to the ground, to a surface waterbody, or to a storm sewer system that drains to a surface waterbody. This general permit also regulates process wastewater from pressure washing in boatyards, unless the wastewater is discharged to a municipal sanitary sewer operated by a sewer authority (POTW) with a delegated pretreatment program.
This National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) water quality permit helps ensure that the disposal of wastewater from boatyards causes no harm to the environment, in accordance with the federal Water Pollution Control Act and state Water Pollution Control laws.
