Learn about the Budd Inlet draft water quality improvement plan now available for comment.
During the workshop, we will explain the background and purpose of the draft Budd Inlet TMDL, outline important ways that people can act to help improve dissolved oxygen levels, and answer questions about what this plan means for Budd Inlet, for you, and for your community.
The workshop will include a presentation followed by a question and answer session. Please register ahead of time for the meeting by using the link below.
The federal Clean Water Act requires states to develop a Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) — or water quality improvement project — plan for each water body on the state's polluted waters list, also known as the 303(d) list. This science-based approach assigns a numerical value that represents the highest amount of a pollutant a surface water body can receive and still meet the water quality standards.
