Morning Listening Session

We invite you to attend an afternoon listening session to hear your comments on what we should change in the Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation General Permit.  Please see the related evening listening session on Jan. 26, 2021 if it works better for your schedule.

This National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and State Waste Discharge (SWD) water quality permit require medium and large-scale livestock operations to implement specific practices to protect water quality.

You may need this permit if you own or operate an animal feeding operation that:

• Confines livestock in pens or barns for 45 days or more during the year, AND
• Discharges pollution to surface or groundwaters.

Tips for attending the events

If you can, please register in advance using the registration web links. This helps make sure you have any needed software updates taken care of early so you may participate on time.

• Plan to join us 10 minutes or so before the event begins, around 9:20 am.

There are two opportunities to attend this informal listening session, and while we recommend registration, it is not required.
