We invite your comments of draft permit no. WA0032182 being issued to King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Wastewater Treament Division - Carnation Wastewater Treatment Plant. The permit authorizes the release of Class A reclaimed water produced at the facility for the purpose of wetland enhancement at the Chinook Bend Natural Area. The permit also authorizes the discharge of treated domestic wastewater into the Snoqualmie River.

We regulate wastewater released from municipalities and industries using the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Wastewater Discharge Permit. This permit regulates wastewater that goes directly into lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, or the ocean (surface water). All wastewater must be treated before it goes into surface water to protect human health and aquatic life.
