Yakama Nation Fisheries Upper Wenatchee Basin Acclimation Program

National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Wastewater Discharge Permit

December 27, 2018 - January 28, 2019

Yakama Nation Fisheries, Upper Wenatchee Basin Acclimation Program is applying for a NPDES Permit No. WA0991018 to discharge acclimation pond water to Nason Creek, Nason Creek tributaries, Chiwawa River, Chiwawa River tributaries, and the Wenatchee River from 10 acclimation sites located in the upper Wenatchee River basin.

We regulate wastewater released from municipalities and industries using the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Wastewater Discharge Permit. This permit regulates wastewater that goes directly into lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, or the ocean (surface water).  All wastewater must be treated before it goes into surface water to protect human health and aquatic life.  Learn more about water quality individual permits.
