April 16, 2021 - May 17, 2021, 12:05 a.m.

We invite you to comment on draft Water Quality Permit No. WA0038407.

The permit allows National Fish & Oyster Company to send (discharge) treated wastewater to Hogum Bay, Puget Sound.

You may view the draft document at National Fish & Oyster Draft Permit and Fact Sheet or visit the Water Quality Permitting and Reporting Information System (PARIS) website.

We regulate wastewater released from municipalities and industries using the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Wastewater Discharge Permit. This permit regulates wastewater that goes directly into lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, or the ocean (surface water). All wastewater must be treated before it goes into surface water to protect human health and aquatic life.
