What is Adjudication and what does it mean for WRIA 1?

We're hosting quarterly information sessions as we prepare for adjudication.

Ecology will host an online information session on January 27, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. Ecology staff will deliver a brief presentation to explain the adjudication process and why WRIA 1 was selected during the adjudication assessment. Following the presentation, they will take questions.

This session is intended to provide useful information for those in the WRIA 1 area who are curious or concerned about future adjudications. It will be hosted online to provide broad access to people interested in adjudication and Ecology continues to follow public health guidance to limit in-person gatherings.You can pre-register for the event.

Future Zoom topics will include “What is adjudication and why is it happening: Lake Roosevelt,” “Understanding your water rights,” “Nooksack watershed and Roosevelt, mapping,” and “Permit exempt wells.”
