This is a meeting of the Watershed Restoration and Enhancement Committee for WRIA 14 (Kennedy-Goldsborough).
This committee meeting is from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
In January 2018, the Legislature passed the Streamflow Restoration law (chapter 90.94 RCW) to help restore streamflow levels. Its purpose is to support robust, healthy, and sustainable salmon populations while providing water for homes in rural Washington.
Specifically, the law directs Ecology to convene Watershed Restoration and Enhancement Committees in eight watersheds surrounding Puget Sound. Each of these committees will develop a watershed restoration and enhancement plan (watershed plan).
Learn more: Visit the Streamflow Restoration webpage to learn more about the law and how we are working on implementation.
