Boise Cascade Arden Lumber, Colville
Air Operating Permit
Feb. 3, 2026, 12 a.m. - March 8, 2026, 11:59 p.m. PT
We propose to approve the renewal of Boise Cascade Arden Lumber's air operating permit (AOP).
Boise Cascade applied to renew the air operating permit for their Arden Lumber facility located at 634 Highway 395 South, Colville, in Stevens County. The facility processes lumber for commercial use. Sawmill operations include: lumber manufacturing, lumber drying kilns, natural gas and hogged fuel boilers, cyclones, baghouses, storage piles, and wood waste handling systems.
There are no changes to the facility's emissions, equipment, operations, or air operating permit ("approval order") since the last permit renewal.

Background
Commercial and industrial businesses that emit large amounts of air pollution are required to get an air operating permit. An air operating permit is a master document that lists all of the air pollution requirements that apply to a business or industry. We issue these permits, along with other clean air agencies in Washington.
