JD's Auto Body, Clarkston

Cancellation of coverage under air quality general order – Opportunity to request a public comment period

May 5, 2026, 12 a.m. - May 20, 2026, 11:59 p.m. PT

We propose to cancel JD's Auto Body's coverage under the air quality general order for auto body shops. We will hold a public comment period if one is requested.

JD's Auto Body submitted a facility closure report for their auto body shop at 1430 Maple Street in Clarkston. They have closed the shop. JD's Auto Body requested we cancel (rescind) coverage of their auto body shop under the air quality general order for auto body shops.

Document for review

We determined this proposal satisfies the requirements of Chapter 173-400 WAC. We plan to cancel their coverage under the general order for auto body shops. We will hold a public comment period on a proposed cancelled air permit ("rescission order") that includes this change if we receive a written request by May 20, 2026.

To request a public comment period, use one of the ways listed below.

To find out if there are more records for this project, contact our Public Records Office.

This notice was posted on May 5, 2026.

Background

An air quality general order is a group permit that simplifies the air permitting process. When several sources of air pollution are similar, we can issue a “general order” for all the sources, rather than a series of individual permits.
