We are starting the rulemaking process for a new rule, Chapter 173-316 WAC Sustainable Food Management Grants, to establish and implement new grant programs under the Washington Center for Sustainable Food Management (The Food Center).

This rule will establish participant and project eligibility, additional grant eligibility, and reporting criteria. The rule will also establish criteria to help ensure applicants and projects reduce emissions from landfills and waste-to-energy facilities through the diversion of organic materials and food waste prevention, rescue, and recovery.
