The Washington State Department of Ecology was directed by the Legislature to evaluate environmental impacts and mitigation for clean energy facilities, including utility-scale solar and onshore wind facilities. Ecology is developing Programmatic Environmental Impact Statements (PEISs) for utility-scale solar and onshore wind facilities that analyze possible impacts and identify mitigation approaches.
There are multiple ways for you to engage in the PEIS process, including submitting comments and attending open houses, where we will be available to answer your questions.
