Clean energy siting council annual report draft recommendations

The council's annual legislative report documents its recommendations to improve siting and permitting clean energy projects in Washington state. The council is currently working on the 2026 annual report and has developed draft recommendation ideas we are sharing for your feedback.
Comments can be submitted using an online form from noon on May 29, 2026 through 11:59 p.m. on June 28, 2026. We are holding a question and answer session to provide information about the report development and draft ideas.

Background
The Clean Energy Siting Council is comprised of 13 state agencies. It meets monthly to identify policy-level issues, coordinate among agencies, and discuss options for improving permitting processes. The council does not make decisions on specific projects. Instead, it is a coordination council and develops annual legislative reports with recommendations.
