Clean energy environmental justice guidance
June 24, 2026, 2:30 p.m. PT, Online webinar
The Clean Energy Siting Council invites you to share your perspectives on a new clean energy environmental justice toolkit. The workshop will begin at 2:30 p.m. and end around 4 p.m. The meeting materials will include the intent and draft outline of the toolkit and an overview of the proposed scope. We will have time for discussion and feedback. Your suggestions will directly help shape a toolkit that is practical, meaningful, and useful for communities, agencies, and project developers.
Live Spanish interpretation will be provided in this Zoom webinar.
Background
The Clean Energy Siting Council is comprised of 13 state agencies. It meets monthly to identify policy-level issues, coordinate among agencies, and discuss options for improving permitting processes. The council does not make decisions on specific projects. Instead, it is a coordination council and develops annual legislative reports with recommendations. As part of its ongoing efforts to support environmental justice in clean energy development, the council is developing a Clean Energy Environmental Justice Toolkit to help advance equitable, community‑centered practices across Washington.
