The Washington Natural Resource Damage Assessment (RDA) Committee meets monthly to determine the most appropriate method for assessing environmental injury from oil spills into state waters.
The Washington Natural Resource Damage Assessment (RDA) Committee meets monthly to determine the most appropriate method for assessing environmental injury from oil spills into state waters. Meeting agendas, minutes and materials are available at the RDA Committee Website.

Background
The RDA Committee, which is chaired by Ecology, includes representatives of the state departments of Fish and Wildlife, Natural Resources, Health, Archaeology and Historic Preservation, and the Parks and Recreation Commission. This committee meets monthly to conduct preassessment screenings for oil spills into state waters, make decisions regarding the most appropriate damage assessment to pursue for oil spills in state waters, and evaluate restoration projects proposed by responsible parties in lieu of monetary damage claims.
Meetings for January through December 2026 will be held on the second Wednesday of each month. In observance of the Veterans Day holiday, the November meeting will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026.
