Parcel 40, also known as APM Terminals Pacific Ltd, is a cleanup site in the Tacoma Tideflats. The site needs cleanup because there is fuel contamination in soil and groundwater. The Port of Tacoma owns the site and is responsible for investigating and cleaning up toxic contamination there.
Two documents are available for public review:
-
Agreed Order No. DE 22282: A legal agreement between Ecology and the Port of Tacoma. It requires the port to investigate contamination at the site, compare options to clean up hazardous substances, and suggest a cleanup plan to Ecology.
-
Public Participation Plan: Ecology’s outreach plan. It describes how we will contact the public about this site, and opportunities for public input.
