Written comments on the legal agreement and the Public Participation Plan are welcome at the meeting.

Background

The Sundberg Gravel Pit cleanup site is on Cooper Point Road NW in Olympia. From at least 1960 through the 1990s, the site was used as a log storage yard and gravel pit. It is now vacant, undeveloped land covered by shrubs and trees.

Preliminary investigations identified petroleum and carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in soil. Petroleum and metals were found in goundwater.
