Public Workshop & Listening Session - Evening

The purpose of the workshop is to explain the proposed changes to the draft Aquatic Mosquito Control General Permit, and to answer questions prior to the formal public hearings. The purpose of the hearing is to provide an opportunity for people to give formal oral testimony on the proposed draft general permit.

We regulate aquatic pesticides released into water under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit. This permit regulates when, where, how, and the amount and type of products that can be applied. The permits provide details on the monitoring, reporting, and public notification requirements for using pesticides to manage aquatic organisms.
