Renewing accreditation

To maintain accreditation, labs must renew every year. The renewal application will become available through our online portal six weeks before your current certificate's expiration date.

Please submit your application well before the accreditation certificate expires to prevent gaps in accreditation. Your assigned auditor will need four weeks to issue updated documents. During this time, your auditor will work with you to address any errors or missing information.

For a first renewal, register with the Secure Access Washington (SAW) portal. This account will be used for current and future renewals, so use a dedicated lab email address — only one email address can be connected to each lab. When you register, select "Environmental Lab Accreditation Renewal" from the list of SAW services.

Once your lab's SAW registration is approved by our staff, you will receive an email notice with a direct link to the online renewal application. The link will become active when your application is ready.

Complete your renewal application

The active renewal link will bring you to the General Information page on the form. Edit your renewal form by clicking the blue "Edit Page" button found in the upper left.

Please note that the software does not save changes automatically. When you are in Edit mode, click the blue “Save Page Changes” button before navigating away if you do not want to lose your edits.
