We invite you to a two-day virtual forum on Dec. 9 and Dec. 10, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. to learn more about the latest research and actions on 6PPD and 6PPD-quinone.
Event overview
During this two-day virtual forum, national and international experts will share the latest research and actions on 6PPD and 6PPD-quinone—chemicals from tire wear that can harm fish and aquatic life.
Objectives
- Share recent 6PPD and 6PPD-quinone research and policy actions.
- Provide an opportunity to discuss data needs and next steps to efficiently move towards solutions.
- Learn from other states and nations on approaches to addressing these contaminants.
Forum schedule and agenda

These are 10-minute livestreamed videos from researchers, government agencies, and industry representatives highlighting solutions and progress in reducing 6PPD-related pollution.

Breakout sessions (3 p.m. to 4 p.m. – registration required)
Tribal Nations, environmental agencies, academic researchers, analytical laboratories, and representatives from the tire, rubber, and chemical industries are encouraged to participate. Breakout sessions will not be livestreamed.

- Space is limited to the first 500 registrants.
