We invite your comments on draft State Waste Discharge permit ST0501348 being issued to Teck Washington, Inc. located in Pend Oreille County.
Teck Washington, Inc. operates the Tailings Disposal #3 at the Pend Oreille Mine (POM) in Metaline Falls, Washington. The proposed permit covers the Water Treatment Plant and discharge of treated water to the underground workings. The POM operations ceased in 2019. In April 2021, Teck WA announced permanent closure and transition to closure and reclamation.
