Chapter 173-166 WAC – Emergency Drought Relief – this rule details Ecology’s procedures for drought declarations and drought relief management.
Join us at our Open House at Washington Fruit Community Center any time between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 16, 2024.
We will provide information about the scope of this rule update and gather input to inform draft rule language. We’ll use your feedback to inform the formal draft rule, which we intend to propose in Fall 2025.
This is one of three in person open house sessions this fall. We are also hosting two vitural listening sessions, and an online survey. Read the focus sheet.
Background
Ecology announced rulemaking to amend chapter 173-166 WAC – Emergency Drought Relief. Public engagement is an important part of this multi-year process. We are hosting listening sessions, seeking input from people across the state to help inform this rule update. Join our email list to stay informed on this rulemaking.
