Chapters 173-422 and 173-422A WAC – Motor Vehicle Emission Inspection
On June 2, 2021, Ecology repealed Chapters 173-422 and 173-422A WAC, both called Motor Vehicle Emission Inspection. In 2005, the Legislature decided the vehicle emission inspection program would end Jan. 1, 2020. Ecology used the expedited rulemaking process since another law did not replace the vehicle emission inspection program.
