SEPA checklist guidance, Section C: Signature

Checklist guidance helps applicants complete Section C of the SEPA environmental checklist.

C. Signature

A signature verifies that someone, usually the project proponent, is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the information in the checklist. A signer can be one of the following:

  • Private proponent (manager or president)
  • Private proponent (landowner)
  • Agency proponent (project manager)
  • Lead SEPA agency (responsible official)

Please note that electronic signatures may be sufficient under WAC 197-11-315(7). The lead agency may determine the appropriate methods for receipt of electronic submittals of the checklist from applicants including electronic signature of Section C on the checklist.
