You're invited to review and comment on five types of water right decision documents. Each is posted online for varying amounts of time:
We post a copy of each draft water right report of examination for a 30-day comment period. You can view these posted draft documents using the regional office links below:
Water right and Water right change reports of examination — RSS, Draft reports of examination, final reports of examination, or extension letters
We post each water conservancy board record of decision for 30 days. You can review the document and provide your input by using the comment form linked on the table below. You can also submit a letter of concern or support to your Department of Ecology regional office within the 30-day period.
We send letters to notify water right holders that their temporary trust water right donations have been accepted into our Trust Water Rights Program. We post these letters for 14-day public notice and 30-day comment period. If you want to view the associated documents for each trust document posted, enter the record number in our Water Resources Explorer.
You can review the document and you can provide your input by using the comment form linked on the table below. To appeal a decision, follow the instructions in the acceptance letter.
We notify applicants when we reach a final decision on their request for determination of water budget neutrality by mail. We post the decision letters for 30 days.
Appeals to these decisions should be directed to the Pollution Control Hearings Board, follow the instructions provided in the acceptance letter.
We also post draft reports of examination for water budget neutral projects which require a water right permit for 14 days. Comments on these can be submitted by phone to our Central Regional Office: 509-575-2597.
