We propose to approve Michael’s Auto Body air quality general order application for auto body and refinishing shops. We will hold a public comment period if one is requested.
Michael’s Auto Body applied for coverage under the general order application to operate their auto body facility located at 817 South Maitland Avenue, in Pasco.

We determined this proposal satisfies the requirements of Chapter 173-400 WAC. We plan to approve the application. We will hold a public comment period on a draft air permit ("approval order") that includes this change if we receive a written request by December 2, 2024.

Background
An air quality general order is a group permit that simplifies the air permitting process. When several sources of air pollution are similar, we can issue a “general order” for all the sources, rather than a series of individual permits.
