Western Construction, Portable Plant 5
Air quality application for general order coverage – Opportunity to request a public comment period
Sept. 25, 2024, 12 a.m. - Oct. 10, 2024, 11:59 p.m.
We propose to approve Western Construction's air quality general order application for rock crushers. We will hold a public comment period if one is requested.
Western Construction of Lewiston, Idaho applied for coverage under the general order for stationary and portable rock crushers to operate its Plant 5 portable rock crusher in Washington.
Document for review
If we determine this proposal satisfies the requirements of Chapter 173-400 WAC, then we plan to approve the application. We will hold a public comment period on a draft air permit ("approval order") that includes this change if we receive a written request by October 10, 2024.
To request a public comment period, use one of the ways listed below.

Background
An air quality general order is a group permit that simplifies the air permitting process. When several sources of air pollution are similar, we can issue a “general order” for all the sources, rather than a series of individual permits.
