The City of Bellingham proposes to establish and operate a wetland bank in Whatcom County.
The City of Bellingham is proposing the establishment of the Bellingham Wetland Mitigation Bank. This 95.6-acre site is located within the Nooksack watershed, northwest of the city of Bellingham within Whatcom County. The project proposes to preserve headwater wetlands and enhance wetlands and uplands to improve habitat structure and function. We are soliciting comments from interested parties to identify project aspects that need to be addressed during the bank review process. See our wetland mitigation bank public notice webpage for detailed information.
