Weyerhaeuser NR Company proposes to establish and operate a wetland and conservation bank in Thurston County.
Weyerhaeuser NR Company is proposing the Old Homestead Mitigation Bank as a joint wetland and conservation bank. This 270-acre site is located within the Deschutes River watershed south of Rainier, WA in Thurston County. The proposal includes wetland creation, re-establishment, rehabilitation, enhancement, and preservation, as well as realignment of Hull Creek and upland riparian enhancement. We and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are soliciting comments from interested parties to identify project aspects that need to be addressed during the bank review process. See our wetland mitigation bank public notice webpage for detailed information.
