Snopac Property cleanup site, Seattle

Comment on cleanup options and plans

Feb. 24, 2025, 12 a.m. - April 24, 2025, 11:59 p.m. PT

We invite comments on a cleanup plan for the land portion of this site and on options for cleaning up the contaminated sediment in the water portion.

The Snopac Property cleanup site is on the Lower Duwamish Waterway (LDW).

The following documents are available for comment:

  • Uplands Draft Cleanup Action Plan: Ecology’s plan describing the cleanup work to address the remaining contamination at the portion of the site outside of the water, called the uplands area.
  • In-water Feasibility Study: A document that describes the areas requiring cleanup, identifies and evaluates a range of cleanup actions, called alternatives, and identifies a preferred way to address the cleanup of the sediments in a portion of Slip 1, called the in-water area.

We will be highlighting this comment period at our March Lower Duwamish Waterway Office Hours event at Georgetown Brewing on Thursday, March 13. Join us to learn more!
