Dec. 31, 2024, 12 a.m. - Jan. 30, 2025, 12:59 p.m. PT

We invite comments on draft NPDES permit no. WA0991001 being reissued to the Boeing Everett Cleanup Site.

The permit authorizes the discharge of treated groundwater to Powder Mill Creek and to groundwater via injection wells EIW1, EIW2 and EIW3.

You may view the draft permit, fact sheet and related documents at Boeing Everett Powder Mill Gulch or visit the Water Quality Permitting and Reporting Information System (PARIS) website.

Background

We regulate wastewater released from municipalities and industries using the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Wastewater Discharge Permit. This permit regulates wastewater that goes directly into lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, or the ocean (surface water). All wastewater must be treated before it goes into surface water to protect human health and aquatic life.
