Oct. 17, 2023 - Dec. 18, 2023, 11:59 p.m.
We invite your comments on the draft permit for the City of Everett Water Pollution Control Facility.
The draft permit WA0024490 is being reissued to the City of Everett Water Pollution Control Facility. The permit authorizes the discharge of treated domestic wastewater into the Snohomish River and into Port Gardner Bay (Puget Sound).
We regulate wastewater released from municipalities and industries using the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Wastewater Discharge Permit. This permit regulates wastewater that goes directly into lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, or the ocean (surface water). All wastewater must be treated before it goes into surface water to protect human health and aquatic life. Learn more about water quality individual permits.
