Feb. 12, 2025, 12:05 a.m. - March 14, 2025, 11:59 p.m. PT

The draft permit we proposed to reissue to Olympic Corrections Center Wastewater Treatment Plant (permit WA0038938) authorizes the discharge of treated domestic wastewater into the Snahapish River.

You can view the documents at Olympic Corrections Center Wastewater Treatment Plant Documents or visit the Water Quality Permitting and Reporting Information System (PARIS) website.

Background

We regulate wastewater released from municipalities and industries using the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Wastewater Discharge Permit. This permit regulates wastewater that goes directly into lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, or the ocean (surface water). All wastewater must be treated before it goes into surface water to protect human health and aquatic life.
