Port Hadlock Water Reclamation Facility

The proposed permit to be issued to Port Hadlock Water Reclamation Facility authorizes the production, distribution and use of Class A reclaimed water to be distributed to the percolation pond directly across the street from the reclaimed water facility. Reclaimed — or recycled — water starts out as domestic wastewater (sewage), but is then treated and tested to make sure it is safe to use. The Department of Health and Ecology work together to issue individual permits to facilities for reclaimed water projects.
