City of Sumner, Newly Developed Local Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Program

This is a Public Notice of Request by the City of Sumner for approval by Ecology of the City's newly developed Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Program. Such approval is required by 40 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 403.11 and Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 173-208-050.

A copy of the City's Pretreatment Program which includes Interlocal Agreement, Pretreatment Ordinance, and Pretreatment Program Manual may be viewed at the City's website.

The ordinance is required as the City is seeking delegation of authority from Ecology to implement its Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Program. The Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Program will be delegated to the City of Sumner without further public involvement if no substantive comments are received and if approved by Ecology and barring objection by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
