Grant Applicant Workshop

Streamflow Restoration Grants

Nov. 4, 2025, 10 a.m. PT, Online webinar

If your organization is working to improve streamflow and aquatic resources in your watershed, you may qualify for our competitive grants.

The goal of this webinar is to inform potential grant applicants about the process and purpose of the grants. We want to help applicants understand how to be successful during the application process.

Register for the webinar here.

These grants are highly competitive. More details about the application requirements can be found on the Streamflow restoration competitive grants webpage.

More about the grant program

The grants will help state and local agencies, tribal governments, and non-profit organizations, implement local plans and projects to improve streamflow and aquatic resources. This round of grants will provide up to $40 million for projects. We are hosting two live virtual workshops for potential applicants and we'll post a recording of our presentation for those who aren't able to attend a webinar, or would like to revisit the workshop prior to applying. We plan to begin accepting applications on Jan. 15, 2026.

Funding is available statewide. Priority is given to projects that benefit streamflows, projects in adopted plans prepared under the Streamflow Restoration Law (chapter 90.94 RCW), projects in areas specified under the law, projects that benefit ESA threatened and endangered salmonids or other native species of concern, and projects that emphasize environmental justice.

The law invests $300 million over 15 years in projects that will help fish and streamflows. Visit the Streamflow Restoration page to learn more about the law and how we are working on implementation.
