UNION GAP –
Stage 1 burn bans that started as early as Dec. 29, 2015, have been lifted in Klickitat, Kittitas, Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties, according to the Washington Department of Ecology.
Ecology atmospheric scientist Ranil Dhammapala said improving weather conditions have helped to disperse air pollution leading to better air quality. No major air quality concerns are expected this week.
