Local partner core operations grants

The Local Partner Core Operations Grant helps local clean air agencies implement comprehensive air quality control programs to protect and enhance air quality within their jurisdictions. Projects must meet the goals of the state and federal Clean Air Acts. The work must occur in one or more of these categories:

  • Enforcement
  • Permitting
  • Monitoring
  • Public education and enforcement
  • Planning and program development
  • Technical and business assistance
  • Administration

Funding cycle

  • Amount of funding available: $6,185,095 for the 2021–2023 biennium (July 1, 2021–June 30, 2023)
  • Grant award limit: Distribution is based on various criteria, such as capita and population in the local air agencies' jurisdiction
  • Amount of matching funds required: none

Applications are not being accepted at this time.

Applications are accepted in the summer of each odd year.

Funding is available for the following entities:

Local clean air agencies and Ecology regional offices where a local clean air agency doesn't exist
