EPCRA Tribal guidance
Tribal nations have the same responsibilities as states do under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA). Some Tribes have established their own Tribal Emergency Response Commissions (TERCs), while others have opted to enter into agreements with their neighboring Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs).
We work with the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) and Tribal governments to implement EPCRA. SERC encourages partnerships between LEPCs and Tribal nations.
