The Washington
State Emergency Response Commission (SERC
) encourages partnerships between
Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs)
and tribal nations. We work with the SERC and tribal governments to implement EPCRA requirements.

Responsibilities
Tribal nations have the same responsibilities as states under EPCRA. Some tribes have established their own Tribal Emergency Response Commissions (TERCs), while others have opted to enter into agreements with their neighboring LEPCs.
