Ephrata Landfill, Grant County
Air Operating Permit
Aug. 26, 2025, 12 a.m. - Sept. 29, 2025, 11:59 p.m. PT
We propose to approve Ephrata Landfill's air operating permit (AOP).
Ephrata Landfill applied for an air operating permit for their site located at 3808 Neva Lake Road, Ephrata, in Grant County. The landfill started receiving municipal waste in 1942. Because of recent site expansion, the facility's increased design capacity now requires an air operating permit.

Background
Commercial and industrial businesses that emit large amounts of air pollution are required to get an air operating permit. An air operating permit is a master document that lists all of the air pollution requirements that apply to a business or industry. We issue these permits, along with other clean air agencies in Washington.
