Help design a new grant program to improve air quality in overburdened communities

Air quality grants

June 10, 2024, 1 p.m., online webinar

We are holding an online listening session about a new grant program to improve air quality in overburdened communities. Help us make sure this new grant program meets the needs of these overburdened communities.

Your comments will help us design this new grant program. Some questions to start with:

  • How should we decide which grant projects are most important?
  • What things should we think about when we're reviewing grant applications?
  • What costs should be covered by this grant?
  • What does your community want to do to reduce air pollution?
  • How could this grant program help or hurt your community?
  • What can we do to help applicants succeed in applying for and using a grant?
  • How can we reduce any possible harm from this grant program and make sure the benefits are shared fairly?

More information

Your ideas will help us build a fair and effective grant program that improves air quality, and promotes environmental justice and equity.

Background

We're working to improve air quality in Washington communities that are historically overburdened with health, social, and environmental inequities and are highly impacted by criteria air pollution, such as ozone and fine particles. Reducing criteria air pollution will improve people's health.

We give grant money to help reduce and prevent air pollution. Find an air quality grant or loan.
